Description of the problem | The brakes present with a vibration or "judder" (as described by bmw) on application at all speeds. The vibration increases at higher speeds - thus the major safety issue. This was a result of rotor warping under normal driving conditions (all 4 rotors and pads???? - this is incredulous). I contacted bmw usa and they declined to rectify the condition so in order to maintain a safe driving condition. I have borne the cost or replacing the rotors and brakes after only 35,000 miles. My previous bmw 6 series was perfect for 72,000 miles on one set of brakes. This represents a manufacturing failure as it it near impossible for all 4 rotors to warp and fail under normal driving conditions. |
