Description of the problem | The following note was sent to chevy product support through their web site. The vehicle is a 1993 blazer, vin [xxx] - i recently had the electronic emission control valve (egr(?) fail in the open position, causing the vehicle to stall. I was not able to restart the engine. Fortunately, i wasn't in traffic and could safely have the truck towed to my mechanic who replaced the defective valve. Is the replacement of this part covered by a warranty or out of warranty special service arrangement? Have the safety issues been addressed by a redesign of the valve or emission control system for this vehicle? This is very similar to the condition reported as odi id: 736343 & 736345.*ak information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6). |
