Description of the problem | Dt*: the contact stated while driving 5 mph and attempting to depress the accelerator pedal, the vehicle would not accelerate. There seemed to be no gas moving though the fuel line. At times, there was difficulty in starting the vehicle. It was taken to a service dealer who inspected the fuel tank for accessibility. The fuel tank was replaced and a new fuel pump was installed. There was a nhtsa recall # 06e041000 regarding the fuel system, gasoline:delivery:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings on the year, make and model of this vehicle however the manufacturer was not contacted to verify if the vehicle was included in the recall. |
