Description of the problem | After immediately purchasing vehicle, consumer complained about the poor braking system, the dealer checked the system and stated everything was ok, a year later consumer complained about the brakes, after having some near collsions and also having a collision with a deer that caused considerable damage, the problem was that no matter how much force consumer applied to the pedal, after the initial application, the vehicle would not change its rate of speed, however consumer later received a recall notification (c99046) on the abs, and the brake module was then replaced, consumer states the brakes seem to have normal braking, but when the brakes are applied the tires leave the road surface, like hitting a pot hole, the pedal drops down about two inches and the braking effect is reduced by what seems about one half the force on the pedal.*jb |
