Description of the problem | When driving at speed of traffic, power steering goes away making it difficult to maneuver truck. Warning code comes on service stabilitrak. By pulling over and turning off then restarting truck. Code clears and power steering is active again. 2015 model of same truck had a recall that gm is apparently not addressing on the 2016 models. Problem has happened while sitting at a light, and while driving on city streets and highways. Problem is completely random. Dealer cleared program errors but couldn't find anything else wrong. Wife drove on freeway and power steering failed again almost causing an accident while turning southbound from an east bound freeway connector. |
