Description of the problem | Transmission is shuddering when accelerating. This shuddering event began around 9,000 miles and has progressively worsened. Service bulletin 18-na-355 has been published but with mixed results. Requesting government agency continues to monitor this as the sudden lurching could potentially put drivers into a dangerous intersection or be unable to accelerate to avoid a hazard. This is a large safety concern and transmissions are expensive to fix/maintain and the cost should be absorbed by the manufacturer as reports of this issue grow and become more widespread. |
