Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2012 chevrolet cruze. While driving at unknown speeds, the brake pedal was applied, but failed to respond. As a result, the vehicle continued to move forward. The emergency brake also failed to stop the vehicle. The contact had to pump the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the motor switch and power brake vacuum system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called a local dealer (roger dean chevrolet, 101 sw pine island rd, cape coral, fl 33991, (239) 574-3326) and was informed that the vehicle was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 13v360000 (service brakes, hydraulic) in 2014 at 9,000 miles. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 42,300. |
