Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that while traveling 40 mph, the check engine and power train waring lights illuminated as the vehicle stalled. The contact also mentioned that a message stating that the engine power reduced had also appeared before the vehicle stalled. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer, who stated that the throttle body position sensor was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The vehicle was returned to the dealer where the throttle body was cleaned and the computer was replaced but to no avail. The manufacturer was not contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000. |
