Description of the problem	I was driving down the highway on a typical winter day in michigan. The rear defroster was on to melt some snow/ice on the rear window. After being quiet/normal, suddenly a loud hissing/sizzling sound was coming from the rear window defroster, lasted less than a minute before i was smelling something burning. The defroster circuit then fried in a large puff of smoke with a substantial "pop" sound. After a brief delay of just a few seconds, the rear window glass exploded/shattered. This is after a known recall was issued by gm for this very issue. I had the issue addressed at my local chevrolet dealership in august. In their service report, it said "inspected rear sliding window terminals and covers for damage. Install revised terminal cover. Also install new design buss bar covers. Ok no heat damage found." again, my problem occurred after my local chevrolet dealership allegedly addressed this known problem and already-issued recall. I have no way of knowing whether or not the repairs/inspection they claimed they did actually happened. If they did, clearly they did not remedy this serious problem. I am now trying to get into the dealership for them to replace the rear window. At minimum, they've said it could take two days to get the replacement window.
