Description of the problem | At approximately 45k miles, truck began to shake at 70 mph. Issue only occurs on highways/interstates where 70mph can be driven safely. Now has 52k miles. Dealer had accessorized truck with oversize wheels/tires & lift kit. I bought it this way. Was smooth until about 45k miles. My tires are still good, but i will replace before 60k miles internet searching revealed much information regarding "chevy shake" issue with gm full size trucks and suv's. I believe mine is affected by the 'chevy shake' mystery problem. Will be taking to dealer for regular service 7/21/17 and advising them of this issue. They will likely blame it on aftermarket equipment/suspension/wheels/tires, even though the dealership accessorized the truck when new through a specialty shop. I bought warranties that supposedly cover all of the truck, even the stuff dealer had the specialty shop put on it. |
