Description of the problem | The middle rear seatbelt in the 2018 silverado crew cab has a plastic strap retainer that comes apart easily, causing the seatbelt to get stuck on one side or the other of the metal positioning bar. This has happened while driving and the rear center passenger's seatbelt was left slacked. It will only return once the seatbelt strap is manually centered on the metal positioning bar. The clips on the plastic piece appear to be insufficient. The chevrolet dealership has replaced the plastic strap retainer piece once already and it did not correct the problem. |
