Description of the problem | On 1/10/20, i was driving home on a major freeway. Just before 5:00 pm i hit traffic and slowed down to roughly 5-10 mph. At that moment my dashboard lit up and a notification stating, "brake system failure" and "service esc" popped up on my dash. At that point i was unable to stop when applying my brakes. Luckily i had a large enough space between my truck and the car in front of me as well as the two lanes beside me having an opening and i was able to get over and coast to a complete stop on the shoulder. Extremely dangerous electronic malfunction. Had i lost my brakes 10 second sooner i would have been unable to stop and caused a potentially fatal car accident. |
