Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2003 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 mph the brake pedal was engaged and there was no response. The brake pedal suddenly traveled to the floorboard without warning. The contact began to down shift in addition to applying the emergency brake. The vehicle came to a stop and the contact was able to drive to his residence. The contact noticed that the hydraulic brake line ruptured and caused fluid to leak excessively onto the ground. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 28,000. |
