Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving 55 mph, the transmission began to slip. The engine revved and the vehicle moved forward as if it were in neutral and made a heavy, abnormal rumbling sound. The contact also smelled smoke and the vehicle was leaking transmission fluid. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the road shoulder. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to neilson chevrolet (1 us-46, dover, nj 07801, (973) 366-1243) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, only parts were replaced and not the entire transmission. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 77,619. |
