Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet tahoe. While driving 70 mph, the brakes failed to stop the vehicle without warning. With the brake pedal all the way to the floorboard, the driver was able to drive off the highway and finally stopped the vehicle with the emergency brake. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (rydell chevrolet in northridge, california) where it was diagnosed that the brake assist failed. The vacuum pump and the belt kit were replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that an investigation would be conducted to determine the actual cause of the failure. The vehicle was repaired.
