Description of the problem | Dealer has told me that the vehicle registers an error code of b0022. According to the dealer, gm tells them to check four wires on the connectors to the front passenger seat wiring harness that causes the check airbag warning light to illuminate. Specifically, gm tells the dealer to solder the connections on the four wires on the connector. The dealer has also told me that if the warning light for the air bag system is illuminated, none of the airbags will deploy. In my opinion this is a serious design flaw. If the airbag warning light is illuminated and you have an accident before the problem is corrected this could result in major injuries. Also, a connector termination problem is a manufacturing defect and should be corrected by the dealer, especially in a critical safety system such as the airbag system. |
