Description of the problem | While the vehicle is in operation in any driving condition the airbag service indicator warning light came on and stayed on. This was intermittent at first and then stayed on after a few days. Dealer will not cover this key safety component failure. This seems to be related to the last recall for airbag failure on the 2009-2013 traverse model vehicles made this year. The recall fixes the yellow wire harness connector failure by cutting it away and splicing the wires together. There are now technical bulletins out for the 2014 traverses that seem to have the same issue. *js |
