Description of the problem | No brakes when driving home from work. Pedal pressed all the way to the floor. Pumping brakes made no difference. Thankfully was on a less traveled country road and was able to limp the vehicle home using parking brake. Brake fluid level checked fine and there was no brake fluid leaking around any wheel or under car so it was not a broken brake line or seal. Vehicle towed to dealership. Dealership determined "brake vacuum switch" was bad and replaced. Claimed this was not a *warranty* covered part and was normal wear and tear. |
