Description of the problem | 2013 chrysler 200 3. 6l v-6 80,000 miles. During the 2018 winter in noticed my car was not coming up to running temperature and no t getting good heat out of the vents on drivers and passenger vents. I changed the thermostat and noticed a lot of grit and what looks like dirt in the antifreeze, but now the car comes up to running temperature and now i get good heat out of driver side vent but not out of the passenger side vent. I have been doing some reading on chrysler 200 forums and i see a lot of complaints of the same problems i am having and saying the cause in is that the heater core is plugged and is about $900. 00 to $1200. 00 to fix. Is chrysler going to cover the cost of the repairs? The cause of the heater core being plugged is when to blocks were being pored and machined leaving sand and other debris in the blocks because they were not cleaned properly. |
