Description of the problem | As with last report car stop suddenly and console said to place car in park. Glided off road and had to re-start. Took car in to dealer and they told me it was because the oil was old. Car has 3900 miles. What happened was exactly the problem in r24/nhtsa 15v-470. Service rep took me aside and told a story all should hear. Chrysler knows of this issue and is fighting complaints under warranty if owners are not changing oil at "reasonable" intervals. It already happened at their dealership with a client that wanted the engine replaced. So word to the wise... He knows that changing the oil is not the issue, but was giving us a heads up about changing the oil so not to void the warranty. Sounds like chrysler may not play nice on the issue they know they have with the 200. So change your oil and keep a record of it! |
