Description of the problem | The vehicle has begun throwing an error message that the engine is running hot and the electronic throttle control needs serviced. The vehicle is running fine and does not appear to be running hot. The lights go off when the car is stopped and come back on about 20 minutes into the next trip. The dealer stated this was not covered under warranty and quoted almost $700 to replace the sensors. We have had the vehicle less than one year (2nd owner) and just rolled over 60,000 miles. |
