Description of the problem | I am writing in to notify you that chrysler recall p43 should apply to my vehicle. I have intermittent functionality loss in the driver door due to what the dealership told me is a short in the driver door wiring harness. They couldn't find the short visually, but know its there from a multi meter test reading. They wanted over 500 dollars to replace this door harness and i truly believe it should be replaced as part of the chrysler p43 recall. This recall only applys to 8 "known" chrysler 200 lx models but who is to say the defect couldn't be present in more? It has presented itself obliviously in my car. The dealership told me failing to replace this harness will result in further electrical failure including airbag mis-operation,. It does not seem right that this recall doesn't apply to my vehicle. |
