Description of the problem | While driving on the highway at about 65mph, the car shut off as we coasted to a stop. Car was inoperable. We tried restarting the car, but was unsuccessful. All electrical features, including the gear shift knob were inoperable. We gave it time and attempted to restart vehicle a number of times. We finally succeeded half an hour later. All appeared to be well. Not sure if this has been a common issue, but it is a concern of ours. There has been a number of recalls on their vehicles and it behooves me that there is no law that makes these car manufacturers responsible for buying back their vehicles. My husband and i bought a new vehicle, believing it would be the safer thing to do. I have a teenager, an infant and another baby on the way. It is so scary to have babies in a vehicle you no longer feel safe in, knowing their frailties if an accident were to occur. |
