Description of the problem | 9 speed transmission has issues. Upshifts 2 to 3 are harsh and sometimes slams in after waiting too long to shift. Worst, the vehicle actually accelerates when slowing down and downshifting from 5 to 4 (no foot on the throttle). This is repeatable consistently. Several times now during quick stops (i. E. Someone walks out on the road) the vehicle had a burst of acceleration while hard braking. Dealer advises nothing they can do - chrysler rep told them to tell customers "this is normal". Unfortunately the unexpected burst of acceleration is not repeatable when needed. Vehicle has already been checked for recall and has gone through 2 software updates. Note: i do not brake with my left foot. During braking the car is accelerating on it's own. |
