Description of the problem	Airbag light keeps coming on. Bought the car used from a dealership in june 2019. Vin # is not on a recall list for takata airbags. The car is at college, out of state, with my granddaughter. The local chrysler dealership in her area will not fix the airbag problem for free because the vin # is not on a recall list. I'm at a loss since the cost of repair is high. I live on social security & she is going to school on scholarships. Does she have to be involved in an accident and possibly be hurt before chrysler will repair the airbag problem-free? The description for this problem says the airbag may not deploy if there is an accident. How do i know if the car should be on a recall list? This is not the first time the light has come on. The car has been in motion, on a city street and on the highway when the problem occurs. The latest occurrence was on or about the date listed below and the airbag light is still on.
