Description of the problem | We own a 2016 chrysler 200 with a 4 cylinder engine that is burning one quart of oil every 750 miles. We are told by the dealer that chrysler engineers say it is acceptable for that engine to use a quart of oil in 750 to 1000 miles. The engine has done this since it was new. They replaced fouled spark plugs and even complete cylinders on the car. The last time my wife waited until the recommended oil change it had used 5 quarts. The dealer is still giving us the run around as is mr stander at chrysler usa and sergio marchioni who called the designers of the engine |
