Description of the problem | My husband was driving in traffic as the foot brake gave out. He had to step as hard as he could with both feet on the brake in order to get it to stop. At the same time the parking brake engaged itself and made driving almost impossible. You couldn't turn it off. After turning off the car, the brakes still won't work, but the park break was back to normal. If you get the car to a halt and put it in park, it keeps on driving, as soon as you dare to slightly let go of the brake. Your only way to stop this car is to engage the park brake and hope that it grabs. Car is at the dealership with no information available, chrysler is contacted. This is for sure scary, given that my son was in the car as well. |
