Description of the problem | Failed fuel rail causes fuel to be sprayed all over front of engine at significant rate. Automobile has been at dealer for approximately 3 weeks, and have been told by service manager that this is particular failure is a common problem with this engine, and that there are no parts in the system to repair the cars since there is a backlog of over 2000 requests for these fuel rails. Also have been informed that the 1993 series 3. 3l engines were recalled for the fuel rail system. Check this problem out. Our car smelled of raw gas for over a month, but no one could find the leak until there was a complete failure and the large amounts of fuel was being sprayed on the engine. This week, i have been told by the service manager that a second car has been brought to gordon chyrsler-plymouth for the same problem. Thanks. |
