Description of the problem | Air bag sensor light continued to come on and the dealership determined that the air bag sensor in the passenger seat was malfunctioning. The notification stated, "your vehicle's air bag warning light recently indicated the air bag system may not be working properly. The air bags in your vehicle might not inflate in a collision, or they could inflate without a collision if you do not get the required service. Have your vehicle checked at your dealership." the replacement would cost over $300. Our chrysler pacifica is just out of warranty as it is a 2017 with 43,000 miles on it, so this sensor issue would not be covered. This seems like a possible recall considering it happened in a vehicle only 2. 5 years old. |
