Description of the problem | Hard shifting - going from 2nd to 3rd gear the van feels like it wants stall out and then all of a sudden a hard jerk(feels like you were hit from behind) then a loud knock and it drops into gear and takes off. Most often happens when in stop and go traffic. Sometime happens when just taking off from a red light. I have brought the van into the dealership over 8 times in the past 12 months, we have been able to duplicate the problem with the mechanic and chrysler care first tells me it is the adaptive transmission control trying to adapt to my driving habit so its the way i drive, then they tell me that is the way the van was designed to operate since we able to duplicate the problem in the same van but a brand new model that was on the lot. Then they tell me there is nothing else they can do. |
