Description of the problem | Car was in motion, in traffic, using cruise control on a two lane highway. An attempt was made to accelerate and pass the slower car ahead. When accelerating to override the cruise control, the car decelerated and felt as though the brakes were being engaged. Fortunately oncoming traffic did not approach before the car was able to limp back the lane. Mullane motors serviced the vehicle to fix the problem. Two days later the car again decelerated when applying gas to proceed, a warning flash appeared that said electronic throttle needs to be serviced. All this happened a few moths after we had our car to the dealership for the recall regarding the cruise control and two days after servicing to fix the deceleration happening as gas pedal is depressed. |
