Description of the problem | I have experienced sporadic incidents with my 2017 chrysler pacifica where when braking to a stop, the engine continues to run at 1500 or so rpm instead of idling down. It requires extremely heavy brake pressure and putting my left foot on the brake so that i can tap the accelerator with my right foot. That will disengege the transmission and cause the engine to idle down. During these incidents the automatic engine shut-off when the care is braked has not been disengaged the dealer has not been able to locate any codes or dupicate the problem. In summary, it is an accident waiting to happen. |
