Description of the problemWhile in cruise control i had to accelerate and the transmission slammed into higher gear; felt like transmission coming out of vehicle. Also slams when at a stop and pedal pushed down fast. Also while moving and pedal pushed down fast as when needed to pass a vehicle. Slamming can occur whether on city streets at slower speeds or highways at higher speeds. When i go to a dealer and ask about recalls or reports of the same issues they say no and move on with no further discussion. 3 year/36000 miles warranty covers only through the expected/predicted factory life of the parts. Afterwards, they know parts will fail and consumers must pay for an extended warranty, which has a deductible, when parts fail if they don't want to pay for all the repair due to factory failures of not building a quality oriented vehicle, that should last at least 200,00 miles without failures. My current mileage is 38974.
