Description of the problem | On several occasions, while driving at various speeds and in various road conditions, this dodge caravan did lose complete engine power. The most frightening was at 70mph on the freeway at night! A very smooth stretch of freeway and the headlights went out and the engine stopped running. Recall r03/nhtsa14v-373 was preformed on this dodge but engine power loss persist. It would appear that a power module could be the problem and dodge knows it. This is a potentially dangerous and lethal situation. During this engine shutdown, critical elements of vehicle safety are lost including effective braking, steering and airbag deployment mechanicals. |
