Description of the problem | I received a recall notice for my 2008 dodge caravan. "the wireless ignition node (win) on your vehicle may have unintentional movement of the frequency operated button ignition key (fobik) from the "on" to the "accessory" position while driving. This could cause unintended engine shut off and increase the risk of a crash." over the past month, i have contacted 2 separate dealers as well as chrysler. There are no parts available for this recall. And there is no projection when these parts will be available. How can there be a recall notice and no parts available? When will these parts be available? Is there a penalty that can be inflicted on chrysler for being unable to rectify this recall? |
