Description of the problem | Having a transmission related issue. Vehicle makes a jolt foward when coming to a complete stop. Sometimes it's not so bad but you can tell it's downshifting late or hard when completing a stop. This happens 90 percent of the time when my vehicle comes to a stop. I have the 8 speed transmission in the sxt version charger v6. I have done my research and have found many charger owners experiencing the same issue with no results on what's the cause or how to fix the issue. Dodge is supposedly aware of this issue and has since came out with a pcm transmission flash update. The update has proven to be ineffective for everyone including myself. The problem affects 2011 -2014 8 speed chrysler and dodge. I have owned my vehicle for 4 months and have been back to the dealer several times and have been told nothing they can do unless a recall is placed. |
