Description of the problem | I had a small air leak in the rear driver side tire. I took it to get the tire repaired, and they informed me that the wheel was actually cracked. I took the car to get the rim repaired, and it was maintaining pressure. I did not check the other wheels, as they were maintaining pressure. Approximately 2 weeks later, i was involved in a car accident while driving down a local highway (approximately 55 mph), where the car started shaking, and i lost control of the vehicle. I believe that the front passenger rim was cracked as well, which led to wheel failure and a blowout. Ultimately, i ended up in a concrete wall and the car was totaled. |
