Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. While attempting to drive the vehicle, it failed to start and the transmission service and engine warning indicators illuminated. The failure recurred twice. In addition, while driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle made an engine start noise and then accelerated without warning. The contact depressed the brake pedal to slow down the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery and the transmission cable failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that once the dealer diagnosed the failure, they would determine if the vehicle was covered by the warranty.
