Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v542000 (power train); however, the part needed for the repair was unavailable. The contact experienced the failure prior to receiving the recall notification. The contact stated that the vehicle would began to accelerate while applying the brakes. The failure was persistent. The vehicle was taken to a dealer numerous times where it was finally diagnosed that the transmission control module failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but not per the recall. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair and was still waiting on the necessary parts. The manufacturer was aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 9,400. |
