Description of the problem | Transmission failed after 56,000 miles. Prior transmission related recall was performed. This time it appears that something broke inside the transmission rendering it unable to shift. Based on the volume of complaints in various dodge dart forums, this is a widespread problem, not unique to my specific vehicle. I was fortunate to be in a place where i could pull over and have the car towed. Had i been on the highway in traffic, it could have caused an accident or worse. |
