Description of the problem | This vehicle is subject to safety recall r63. Went to paul bailey's,425 ten rod road, north kingstown ri. Informed that the parts were in to perform the safety recall. Appointment scheduled for 6/9/2016. At which time the service department informed us that the brake boosters had engine oil contamination and that the parts needed to be ordered. Told to come back once called. General manager stated that under this recall if the initial inspection revealed contamination then the parts were to be ordered and that a second appointment was necessary. Quite upsetting that the parts are only ordered if the first inspection reveals the need for further repair. This makes no sense, now driving a vehicle with a safety recall that could cause a loss of brake booster assist. The parts should be available if the appointment is for the recall. Now have to wait. |
