 Description of the problemVehicle approached stop light, accelerator pedal was released and brakes applied. Vehicle came to complete stop and was at idle speed. Engine rpm suddenly increased to near 5k. Operator had witness in car. Witness observed operator to have foot on brake and not on gas. Fca notified due to lack of response to recall on tcm that had been over 18 months. Fca set appointment with dealer. Dealer advised that fca sent engineers to inspect car at dealership. Dealer advised car was being held for multiple days due to issue. Dealer advised this is not a known issue for the make, model and year. Outcome of fca engineer inspection not known at this time. ...
