Description of the problem | There have been reported issues of the uconnect stereo screen going black, and being inoperable, resulting in the owner having to replace the stereo completely, if the dealership cannot correct it with a hard reset via their diagnostic machines. Informed by "royal" with the online dodge customer service department, this isn't covered under warranties or outside of the warranties. Seems to have been an issue from 2012 to the present and the dealerships need to be responsible for covering the cost of this defect. I bought my vehicle in 2014, brand new, and this is the 3rd year having the truck. Stereos do not just go black, i've owned plenty (more luxury lined than dodges). I've been driving with a black stereo screen since 7/26/2017 - unacceptable. |
