Description of the problem | The center part of the racetrack tail light leaks and the water can and will cause the light to fail. Chrysler knows of the issue and it is happening in large numbers on the 2014 to current dodge durango. The replacement of the part is over $1,000 us dollars and yet they will not recall the vehicles to make it right instead they use it as a money pit. The light can leak if the vehicle is stationary or moving in wet weather and simply washing the vehicle will cause water to stand in the housing. The lights have been known to go out completely going down the road along with the license plate lights causing a dangerous situation. Please help us hard working people out and make chrysler accountable for this poorly sealed design because that much money isn't easy to come by these days. |
