Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2016 dodge grand caravan. The contact stated that while her mother was turning into the driveway, the vehicle shutoff. The power steering and brakes became inoperable. The driveway had a rocky surface and she was going 10 mph so the vehicle slowed down to a stop. The contact's mother waited 5 minutes before restarting the vehicle and the vehicle operated as intended. The failure recurred twice. The dealer audubon chrysler center (2945 us highway 41 n, henderson, ky 42420, (270) 826-1270) was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was informed that the ignition switch and tipm switch could be replaced at a cost of over $1,200 however, there was no guarantee that the repairs would fix the issue. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was referred to nhtsa. The failure mileage was 70,000. |
