Description of the problem | I bought my 2016 dodge grand caravan in february of 2018 with 98000 miles on it. Here i am 1 year and 5 months later having to replace the transmission at 108000 miles. I was driving and without warning on a city street my rpms were going up to 6000 but my van wasn't accelerating. I almost got rear ended and luckily none of my children were with me, especially my 7 week old baby!! The transmission repair shop that i had it towed to said it wasn't due to the pump that was recalled, that apparently did not apply to my vin, but the inside of my transmission was breaking apart internally. When they took the pan off the transmission there were pieces of metal laying in it. And after all this my check engine light never came on. |
