Description of the problem | Weird burn marks have appeared on the top of my muffler. I bought the car on march 15th, 2019. I first noticed it on april 21st, 2019 (see car doc 2 photo). I took it in to have it looked at on may 8th, when it was determined it was just a cosmetic problem. It was replaced on may 15th. Today, may 24th, 2019, i looked at it and saw the same problem starting again (see car doc 3 photo). A representative at the dealership told me they saw another ecosport with the same issue, but no one can identify the problem. I'm growing concerned as it looks to be a burn, or some kind of reaction with materials. It looks as if something is dripping onto the muffler from above, and that it's not the muffler itself with the issue. I also attached my service invoice from when it was replaced the first time. |
