Description of the problem | Takata recall i first received a letter of recall via a letter from ford motor company in july 2016. Recall notice 16s26 / nhtsa recall 16v-384 stating the problem with the front airbag, and that ford will send a letter when parts are available to fix the problem. The next communication i had from ford was a letter in june 2018 stating that parts should become available in the second or third quarter of 2018. As of today, october 26, 2018, there is still no remedy offered for the airbag problem. I believe ample time has passed for ford to get the parts and replace the defective airbags. Please use whatever influence your agency has to expedite this situation. Thank you. |
