Description of the problem | Brake booster has failed, and now engine won't idle properly and stalls due to vacuum leak from the bad brake booster. I had reported symptoms (hissing, occasional hard pedal, etc.) during service visits while my "bumper to bumper" warranty was still in effect, but was told it was "noise from the new brake pads" and it just needed the brake fluid topped off. Symptoms persisted, but then service bulletin 13n02 was announced, and because my car was manufactured 2 months before the dates covered in the service bulletin the dealership has still refused to cover the costs. So i now have a 2010 edge that is not only hard to stop, but also now stalls out when it does stop! |
