Description of the problem | The interior of my car filled with gas fumes after filling the tank on11/4/2019. I called don hinds ford the next morning and dropped it off that evening. The service department inspected it and found that the gas tank was leaking. The gas tank had been replaced due to a recall just 15 months ago. Ford refuses to replace, stating hat the warranty is expired. We have asked our dealership to complete the repairs. My concern is that ford motor company replaced defective gas tanks with defective gas tanks. Ford customer service suggested that i take it to an "authorized ford service provider" even after i told them that it was already at a authorized ford sevice provider... Even though my car is leaking gas and could catch fire, even though i told them that my car's interior was filled with gas fumes. |
